Kiyutei (Ryokan)
Kiyutei is an old established hotel with an elegant Japanese garden and a great view of the Gonokawa, a Class A river.
This hotel is located on the main street that leads to Jodoji Temple, which was built over 700 years ago. It looks over the Gonokawa River from the town center that still maintains the traditional streetscape. The prestigious wooden architecture, its gate, and the surrounding walls of the hotel have the secluded appearance of a former residence, one of which was once owned by a powerful person approximately 400 years ago. This hotel was appointed for important figures such as feudal lords and local governors to stay in during the olden days.
Hotel guests can enjoy premium cuisine cooked with ingredients from a river and a mountain, such as delicious Ayu, or sweetfish from the river.
