At the foot of Mt.Sanbe, there is a quiet temple named Jozenji. A magnificent ginkgo tree that is over 600 years old and a symbol of the town still stands tall at Jozenji. It has been respected by the local people and visitors for many years.
In autumn, all the leaves turn yellow, and eventually the fallen leaves create a golden carpet on the ground. The grounds of the temple are illuminated at night during the autumn foliage season. Gigantic gleaming ginkgo tree creates a magical sight you will not want to miss. The best season is between mid-November and early December.
